Course Description and Details

Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aide (CHHA) refers to a professional employed by a home care services agency. Operating under the supervision of a registered professional nurse, the CHHA adheres to a delegated nursing regimen or performs tasks assigned by the nurse.

In addition to following delegated nursing duties, a CHHA may engage in home-making activities as requested by the patient, their family, or the registered professional nurse overseeing the patient's care.

When recovering from an illness and in need of home assistance, you can take comfort in knowing that a certified homemaker-home health aide is available for hire.

It's important to note that agencies employing these aides are regulated by the Division of Consumer Affairs, while the aides themselves are subject to regulation by the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
