Position Summary
An EKG technician conducts electrocardiograms and other cardiovascular tests to record patients' cardiac activity using specialized equipment. EKG technicians work throughout the hospital and must have good interpersonal skills.
Position Responsibilities
Prepares patients and performs EKGs and other cardiac testing.
Edits and prepares tests, reports findings and concerns to physicians.
Cleans and maintains equipment.
Reconciles patient testing and orders in MUSE database.
Performs EKGs, Extended cardiac monitoring, Holter monitoring, pacemaker interrogation and other cardiac testing.
Operates various office equipment including fax, copiers, phones, personal computer etc.
Position Experience Required
Active AHA BLS required.
EKG Experience preferred.

Certified EKG Technician (CET) required within 1 year of hire.
