Little Bears Day Care Center is seeking committed applicants who are passionate about early childhood care and education. We are currently building our team by accepting applicants for Infants, Toddlers, Prechool Teacher and Assistant Teacher positions:
Daily Responsibilities
Our Lead and Assistant Teachers work together:
Developing and implementing lesson plans
Meeting the individual needs of the children including feeding and diapering/potty training
Participating in staff and training meetings
Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills
Communicating appropriately and professionally with children, parents and fellow staff
Meeting NJ state licensing requirements
Assistant Teachers are responsible for ensuring compliance with NJ state licensing requirements. They work with Lead Teachers to implement their own lesson plans based on Guidelines and monthly school themes. Most importantly, they create a positive learning environment in their classroom where children develop a lifelong love of learning!
Required Qualifications
Prior classroom experience (Infant, Toddler, PreSchool)
Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
Strong written and communication skills, ability to communicate with parents
must have a friendly, warm and loving demeanor
understands and abides by NJ state licensing and health department standards
strong people skills- has the ability to effectively interact and communicate with all -children, peers, parents and community
organized, motivated and reliable
must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
committed to ongoing professional development
experience working with Procare a plus
last, but most important- MUST truly love children, want to make a difference in a child's life and value the importance of quality early childhood care and learning experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Child Development Associate Certification
Teaching: 1 year
Childcare: 1 year
