Qualifications
Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and laboratory techniques is essential
Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and the ability to phlebotomize efficiently
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Must be able to work flexible hours as needed

Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for performing blood draws and other specimen collection procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety
You will work closely with patients, laboratory staff, and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality service and accurate specimen processing
Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures to collect blood specimens from patients
Ensure proper identification of patients and specimens to maintain accuracy in testing
Process specimens according to established laboratory procedures, including labeling and handling
Maintain aseptic technique during all specimen collection procedures to prevent contamination
Monitor and record vital signs as necessary before and after blood collection
Provide exceptional patient service by addressing concerns, answering questions, and ensuring a comfortable experience
Adhere to safety protocols and laboratory regulations to maintain a safe working environment
Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for use
