Part-Time Phlebotomist - (Day)
Overview
As part of the medical team, the phlebotomist collects blood specimens for use by clinicians and/or other appropriate medical personnel for clinical analyses, evaluations, and/or diagnostic purposes.
Responsibilities
Draws and collects blood samples from patients.
Verifies records.
Prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.
May conduct patient interviews.
May record patient histories.
May monitor vital signs.
Assist with administrative/clerical duties as necessary.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or comparable program.
- One year experience working in a physician office, clinic or ambulatory health care center.
- Must be CPR certified.
