The EKG Technician performs 12 lead ECGs, downloads ECGs into MUSE system, charges for completed tests, processes ECGs by completing demographics and sending ECGs to reading Cardiologist. Faxes ECGs to ordering physicians. Applies and removes holter monitors. Assists with stress testing.
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
An exceptional focus on teamwork.
Excellent communication skills when working with patients, families, physicians and other health care team members.
Basic computer skills.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
One year in a patient care or healthcare related environment preferred.
Licenses and Certifications Preferred:
AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
EKG Technician Certification.
