Students will receive about 40 plus hours of hands-on experience working as a specimen collector/covid swabber. Interns will be mentored in the field of specimen collection/ covid swabber with various age groups.
Responsibilities are as follows but not limited:
Coordinating the collection of specimen samples for laboratory testing.
Verified the correct specimen type; handles appropriately and appropriately prioritizes.
Advised and worked closely with Client Managers Meet and greet patients and explain the Covid Testing Process
Receive specimens and prepare for delivery to the lab, and follow appropriate protocol in handling specimens.
Patient registration/ Intake
Build teamwork and leadership experience.
Meet other Phlebotomists and hear our experience of the do's and don'ts in applying to labs such as Quest and LabCorp
5 interns will receive offers to join our staff (part-time 17.00 per hour).

7 week internship. Starting September 5th (Orientation) - October 21st. You will have 7 weeks to log 40 hours minimum to be considered for employment. Shifts are typically 2hours per shift. Locations are Newark, Rahway, Linden and Irvington.
