Job Summary:
Performs professional and technical duties involved in the electrocardiography department such as:
EKGs as needed on patients of all ages, technical hook up for Holter monitors, technical hook up of Ambulatory Blood Pressure monitors, technical hook up of Live Event monitors.
Utilizes various software related to EKGs, Holters, Ambulatory BP and Live Event monitors, utilize EMR.
Technologist will respond to Rapid response and Code Blue calls.
EKGs are performed on inpatients at the bedside in patient rooms, ICUs, Cath Lab, OR and other areas as well as outpatients.
Technologists will provide timely support to the cardiac surgery team. The technologists will perform timed EKGs with patient given Tikosyn.
Technologist will perform the technical portion of the Holter monitor review and prepare a report for cardiologist to finalize.
Technologists will also prepare ambulatory blood pressure report for finalization.
Technologists will need to use secure chat, email and fax for communication to cardiologists involved with Cardiac surgery and on the EKG reading panel.

Job Essentials:
Prior EKG experience preferred.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma.
License/Certification/Registry:
EKG certificate or equivalent experience and willingness to obtain EKG certificate within 1 year.
