Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) hold one of the most in-demand positions in the medical sector. It's important to note that the long-term care facilities that employ CNAs are closely regulated by both the Division of Consumer Affairs and the Department of Health.
Certified Nursing Assistants may be referred to by various titles such as Certified Nurse Aide, Nursing Attendants, or simply CNAs. A CNA, employed by a long-term care facility, works under the supervision of a registered professional nurse, adhering to a delegated nursing regimen and performing assigned tasks.
Among the responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant are assisting multiple patients, procuring medical supplies, providing bathing and grooming assistance, aiding in feeding, maintaining documentation, responding to patient calls, and monitoring vital signs.
Requirements:
For the state of New Jersey, it is required for all Certified Nurse Assistants to complete 90 hours of in-person training program. Our Certified Nurse Assistant training will consist of in-person training 50 hours of theory and skills and 40 hours of actual clinical studies in a Long-Term Care Facility (LTCF).
To work as a Certified Nurse Assistant in New Jersey, you must meet the following:

Complete a Certified Nurse Assistant training course that is approved by the Department of Health in New Jersey.

Complete a competency evaluation by an NJ-licensed Department of Health.

Be at least 18 years of age.

Employed by a Long-Term Care Facility.

Must be supervised by a professional registered nurse.
