Pay: $17/hr
Under the Supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON) or Her Designate Assists With Direct Client Care, and Performs Other Tasks as Assigned by the DON.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists With Direct Client Care Tasks, E.g. Registers New Clients, Obtains Client History, Records Vital Signs, and Prepares Charts.
Performs Routine Specialized Tasks Le. Finger Sticks for Diabetes, Administration of Insulin, and Other Oral Medications Through Approved Protocols
Maintains Inventory of Medications and Medical Supplies.
Educates and Advises Clients on Specific Medical Issues as Outlined in Approved Protocols.
Schedules and Monitors Clientappointments With Outside Medical Professionals.
Contacts Pharmacies to Order or Reorder Client Medications.
Practices Universal Precautions at All Times. Contributes to Interdisciplinary Team [through Observation]in Developing Client Care Plans.
Maintains and Respects Client and Staff Confidentiality at All Times.
Maintains a High Level of Customer Service Needs: I.e. Knowledge, Flexibility, Confidence, Professionalism, Pleasant Attitude, and Helpfulness. All Responses to Clients and Others Should Be Timely. Professional, Caring, and Respectful in Accordance With Customer's Service Performance Expectations.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
State Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant.
Bi-lingual /spainish Preferred. Special Skills:

Good Organizational Skills.
Ability to Makeindependent Decisions.
Ability to Handle Multi-tasking. Working Conditions:
Continuous Walking and/or Standing
Frequent Over Head Reaching.
Working Around Canes, Walkers, and Wheel Chairs.
Occasional Lifting Up to 75 Pounds.
Occasional Lifting of Heavier Weights With Additional Staff Support.
